About Me

Hi there! My name is Melissa Dennis.

I am a follower of Jesus Christ. I was born into sin but God saved me through his Gospel- namely, that God sent his Son to live a perfect life, be persecuted and killed, buried, and rise again on the 3rd day, making a way for the impenitent to have communion with God. I no longer am identified by my sin and failure but by the righteousness of Christ- to Him be the glory forever.

I am a wife to Joshimg_4039.png Dennis (handsome fella to my left) – the most wonderful man to have my soul mingled with. Josh is my best friend. He holds my greatest memories and spends my giggles everyday. His increasing love for God and desire to know him more through vigorous study of the Bible has challenged me tremendously.

I am a mother of three: Norah Grace, Owen West, and Andrew Haddon. Most of my writing explores the word of God for nourishment as I mother these three little darlings.

Unruffled Mothering…sounds a bit unrealistic, right? Well, that’s what I’m getting at. The gloriousness of the gospel is that through all life’s messiness, Christ is our anchor still and we can remain unruffled in what He has done rather than anything we can try to do on our own. Motherhood is a high call of investment, and what a beautiful journey of grace and image1joy it is! Let’s explore it together:)

I enjoy being a homemaker, homeschooling mama, running long distance, baking, linguistics, being with family, reading, and adventuring with my family- just to name a few.

I’m not here in the blogosphere to make a name for myself, but rather, encourage you to look to and glorify The One that has been given the name above all names- Jesus.
